Marty's Reliable to Carry Guru Tri-Bikes!
marty_copy.png   A few years back, Marty Epstein from Marty's Reliable Cycle (now with 3 locations in Morristown, Randolph, and Hackettstown) helped Mickey Cassu and Mike Grussgott get this club off the ground by providing generous sponsorship $$ and discounts to the club.
Back then Marty also ordered a bunch of Guru bikes for our club, and most of us are still using them to this day, Marty recently announced that he is going to be carrying the bikes in his shops next year!

GIVE IT A TRI

Find out what's drawing women to triathlons - and how you can get started

Triathlon. The word even sounds tough. Think about running the New York City or Boston Marathon at 26.2 miles. Now think about running that marathon immediately after swimming 2.5 miles and riding a bike for 112 miles.

That's the Ironman Triathlon.

There are shorter versions. There's the Olympic length with a 1.5K swim, 40K bike ride and 10K run. And the sprint triathlon, with a half-mile swim, a 20K bike ride, and a 5K run.

So, what makes so many women willing to put themselves through a triathlon?

Pippa Michaels of Chester is considered an elite triathlete

She's ranked All-American, which you earn with points at key races. She's British-born with dual citizenship, so she races for Great Britain in world championships.
